Much of the jute in Europe's summer shoes has long come from this part of the world. We made the espadrille here, for the streets it was never designed for.
Natural materials
Suede, cotton lining and braided Indian jute, stitched by hand where it meets the upper.
Timeless design
The shape has barely changed in seven hundred years. We changed what's underneath.
A broader horizon
Designed between two coasts, made to be worn to work, a wedding lunch or the beach.
What it's made of
- Upper
- Olive suede, lined in breathable cotton so it stays comfortable through an Indian summer.
- Footbed
- Memory foam over a light EVA layer. Soft from the first wear, with none of the traditional espadrille's break-in.
- Sidewall
- Indian jute, braided and hand-stitched. It carries the look of the original and never touches the ground.
- Outsole
- A thin rubber sole hidden beneath the jute: grips wet pavement, doesn't mark floors, and survives the monsoon that would ruin a classic pair.
